Share Your Geisinger Story
I was 31 years old, pregnant, and filled with dreams for our growing family. My husband, Norm, and I were already blessed with two beautiful children. Our hopes for the future, however, were crushed when we learned the devastating news that I had breast cancer during my second trimester. Today, I am a cancer survivor and a proud mother of six healthy children, three of whom were born after my battle with cancer. I'm thankful for Geisinger and my healthcare team, whose skill and compassion helped me and my baby survive breast cancer.

Getting You Back to Home and Family
On April 12, 2010, I had open heart surgery. Dr. Ed Woods was just wonderful… I told him he had miracle hands. I love Dr. Woods and can't believe how the nurses (Hospital for Advanced Medicine, Floor 7) worked so well together. I am feeling great today, thanks to all of them. Geisinger is where I want to go if I ever need care in the future.

The care I received at your hospital (Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center) was the best I've ever received anywhere. The nurses and hospital staff and personal care were excellent. Thank you!
