Wayne Boone, 15, of Julian, was overweight and was having trouble with normal activities. He was unable to walk up a flight of stairs without stopping to catch his breath, and had difficulty with the requirements for his high school physical education class.
Wayne asked for help and was referred to Geisinger’s Weigh of Life program at Geisinger Gray’s Woods in State College. The program taught him to eat healthier and increase his activity. The Weigh of Life program was life-changing for Wayne — he lost nearly 40 pounds and became much more fit.
