DANVILLE, PA – Beginning in July, Michaelyn Notz (right), D.O., pediatrician at Geisinger Health System’s Janet Weis Children’s Hospital, will provide additional care for pediatric patients who have medically complex conditions in the new Pediatric Complex Care Clinic. Patients age 18 and under who are technology dependent – i.e. gastric tube, wheelchair, etc. – and are managed by more than two pediatric specialists qualify for this clinic in the Foss Clinic at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Dr. Notz will partner with the patient, their family members and the primary care doctor to coordinate emergency and care management plans; provide medication management; make recommendations for exacerbation management plans, when appropriate, for further care; and a psychosocial assessment to ensure that individuals are connected to community resources.

Dr. Notz joined Geisinger in 2007 as a resident, after she graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She served as chief resident in 2012 at Geisinger Medical Center in Pediatrics.

Dr. Notz is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Physicians, American Osteopathic Association and Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association. She is board certified in pediatrics, internal medicine and osteopathic board of pediatrics.
