Multiple sclerosis specialist joins Geisinger Medical Center

DANVILLE, PA -- Anthony Turel Jr., M.D., board-certified neurologist, recently joined Geisinger Medical Center (GMC).
A fellow of the American Academy of Neurology, Dr. Turel is returning to GMC after spending the past nine years at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Turel was previously employed at GMC from 1974 to 2006 and served as director of the Neurology Department from 1991 to 1998. His clinical interest is multiple sclerosis (MS), and he serves as the co-chairman of the Healthcare Advisory Committee of the Keystone Chapter National MS Society.
Dr. Turel completed a residency in neurology at the University Hospitals of Cleveland in Ohio in 1974. He is a 1967 graduate of Cornell University Medical College in New York, N.Y., and a 1963 graduate of Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y.
