New orthopaedic surgeon joins Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital
BLOOMSBURG, Pa. -- Thomas Connolly, M.D., FACS, board certified orthopaedic surgeon, recently began seeing patients at Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital (GBH).
A fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Connolly comes to GBH from Jersey Shore Medical Associates, where he worked since 2009. He completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia in 1989. He is a 1984 graduate of the Hahnemann University School of Medicine and a 1980 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy.
Dr. Connolly’s clinical interests include total knee and total hip replacement, arthroscopic surgery; regenerative chondroplasty; geriatric orthopaedic disorders; hand surgery; non-operative musculoskeletal conditions; diagnosis and management of sports-related injuries and arthroscopic rotator cuff repair.
Dr. Connolly will see patients at Geisinger Bloomsburg Orthopaedics-Central Road, and will operate at GBH. He will also see patients at Geisinger-Lycoming in Montoursville.
