LIFE Geisinger to host seminar on protecting the elderly's assets

WILKES-BARRE, PA -- Experts from the field of elderly care and elder law will host a free discussion about protecting the assets of elderly loved ones on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 6 p.m. in the Kistler Learning Center at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, 1000 East Mountain Blvd.
The discussion is for seniors and/or their caretakers who are interested in learning more about protecting assets from excessive costs associated with nursing homes.
Featured speakers will include elder law attorneys Brenda D. Colbert, Esq., and Kevin R. Grebas, Esq. They will be joined by LIFE Geisinger’s outreach and enrollment coordinator Maria Maletta Hastie who will discuss alternatives to nursing home care.
LIFE Geisinger is an all-inclusive elderly care facility that provides additional independence for older individuals and their caregivers with locations in Scranton and Kulpmont. A new location is scheduled to open in Wilkes-Barre in early 2016.
