Geisinger has been honored all eight years of the award’s existence

DANVILLE, Pa. -- Geisinger Health System is one of 10 health care providers named by the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) as a 2016 MAP Award recipient for high performance in revenue cycle. Geisinger has now been honored all eight years of the award’s existence.

HFMA's MAP program recognizes health care provider groups that have excelled in meeting industry benchmarks in revenue cycle performance, implemented patient-centered financial practices, and achieved outstanding patient satisfaction scores.

“We are pleased to be honored again by HFMA for high performance in revenue cycle, particularly for our efforts to meet the needs of our patients,” said Kevin Brennan, CPA, FHFMA, executive vice president of finance and chief financial officer of Geisinger Health System. “We strive to do the best by our patients and this award reflects upon our efforts to implement patient-centered financial practices, resulting in a proven patient financial experience.”

AtlantiCare, a member of Geisinger Health System, also earned a MAP Award for the second time. Both Geisinger and AtlantiCare will both be recognized by HFMA’s annual conference in June.
