CAMP HILL, Pa. –  Callista Morris, D.O., a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, has joined Geisinger Holy Spirit Orthopaedics.

“Having grown up in Central Pennsylvania, playing field hockey, basketball and softball for West Perry and then Division I field hockey at Bucknell, I understand the importance of wanting to get back to athletic activity after an injury,” Dr. Morris said. “I am pleased to return to the area and care for our athletes if they sustain an injury. I know the importance of athletics in this area, and I am interested in not only understanding and developing techniques to help prevent athletic injuries, but also providing treatment for those that do occur. I want to help our athletes get safely back into the game.”

Dr. Morris earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she also completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery. She completed a fellowship in sports orthopaedics at Beacon Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, Cincinnati, Ohio.

Dr. Morris specializes in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgical procedures for the hip, knee, and shoulder including all hip arthroscopy; open shoulder and elbow procedures including those for the overhead athlete down to the arthritic shoulder; ligamentous injuries of the knee and elbow; shoulder instability; and rotator cuff injuries.

Geisinger Holy Spirit Orthopaedics provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages in four locations: Carlisle, Duncannon, Harrisburg, and Lemoyne. To make an appointment at any location, call 717-901-8000.
