CAMP HILL, Pa. – Geisinger Holy Spirit recently donated $500 to Citizen’s Fire Company No. 1 in Mt. Holly Springs as part of Geisinger Holy Spirit's Mission Integration Outreach.

Each quarter, Geisinger Holy Spirit employees are encouraged to share their name and the name of a non-profit organization where they volunteer with the Mission Integration team. The team then randomly selects one organization to receive a donation.

The most recent donation was made to Citizen’s Fire Company No. 1 in honor of Bethany Otto, a clinical secretary for Geisinger Holy Spirit’s sleep center. Otto volunteers with the fire company in her personal time.

“I enjoy volunteering to help those in their time of need and to help serve my community to make it a better place to live,” Otto said.

“The response we get from our staff is always overwhelming,” said Sister Mary Joseph Albright, director of mission integration at Geisinger Holy Spirit. “The volunteerism our staff displays truly speaks to their character. We are blessed to have such a dedicated workforce who not only embody our mission of caring while at work, but also in their personal lives.”
