ADMI sponsors upcoming events for individuals with special needs
Film showing in Berwick and family fun night in Lewisburg
LEWISBURG, Pa. – Geisinger’s Autism & Developmental Medicine Institute (ADMI) has two upcoming events for families and individuals with special developmental needs — a special movie screening of Hotel Transylvania 3 in Berwick and a family fun night at the Miller Center in Lewisburg.
The first event at the Miller Center for Recreation and Wellness is on Friday, Aug. 24. This free event runs from 6-8 p.m. and is open to any family who has a child with special needs. This event will be a night of playing activities adaptive for all levels.

ADMI is also sponsoring a special showing of Hotel Transylvania 3 on Sept. 8 at the Berwick Theater and Center for Community Arts, 110 E. Front St.
Part of ADMI’s Sensory-Friendly Film Series, this screening will:
- Provide a comfortable and accepting environment for those who want to get up, move around or make noise
- Feature family-friendly movies in 2-D
- Begin on time, with no previews or trailers
- Lower the volume of music and special effects
- Provide low-level lighting, instead of total darkness
Doors will open at 1 p.m. The movie will begin promptly at 2 p.m. There is no charge to attend the movie. Donations will be accepted by the theater to fund future screenings.
