Geisinger names northeast director of women’s services

SCRANTON/WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – J. Manuel Arreguin, M.D., recently joined Geisinger as northeast regional director of women’s services. In his role as regional director, Dr. Arreguin will oversee all women’s health and operations at Geisinger Community Medical Center (GCMC) in Scranton and Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center (GWV) in Wilkes-Barre.
Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Arreguin specializes in female reproductive health, pregnancy and childbirth with a special interest in reconstructive pelvic surgery.
Dr. Arreguin earned his medical degree from UCLA School of Medicine, Los Angeles. He then completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at UCLA Center for Health Sciences. Additionally, Dr. Arreguin holds a master’s in Healthcare Management and Leadership from the University of Texas.
Prior to joining Geisinger, Dr. Arreguin served as the chief of staff at Tucson Medical Center, the largest non-profit community hospital in Arizona before assuming the role of Executive Medical Director. Dr. Arreguin also served in a clinical faculty role as the Clinical Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education in Tucson and is a diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
