CAMP HILL, Pa. –  The Geisinger Holy Spirit Breast Care Center has been granted a three-year accreditation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).

This accreditation, administered by the American College of Surgeons, is awarded to breast care centers that provide the highest level of quality breast care and undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of their performance. During the survey process, centers must demonstrate compliance with NAPBC standards for treating women diagnosed with the full spectrum of breast disease. These standards include proficiency in center leadership, clinical management, research, community outreach, professional education and quality improvement. A breast center that achieves NAPBC accreditation has demonstrated a firm commitment to offer its patients every significant advantage in their battle against breast disease.

“It is an honor to receive national recognition for the comprehensive care we have been providing for 20 years,” said Angela Soto Hamlin, MD, Geisinger Holy Spirit breast surgeon.

Receiving care at a NAPBC-accredited center ensures that a patient will have access to comprehensive care, including a full range of state-of-the-art services, a multidisciplinary team approach to coordinate the best treatment options and information about ongoing clinical trials and new treatment options.

Geisinger Holy Spirit Breast Care Center providers see patients in two locations: 880 Century Drive, Mechanicsburg, and 3 Jennifer Court, Suite B, Carlisle. To make an appointment, call 717-737-4718.
