CAMP HILL, Pa. – The Geisinger Holy Spirit Breast Care Center will host a free six-week dance exercise program for breast cancer patients and survivors beginning Oct. 3. The exercise program will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays through Nov. 7 at 880 Century Drive, Mechanicsburg.

Moving for Life DanceExercise for Health® is a program of easy-to-follow exercises that promote recovery, education and empowerment of breast cancer patients and survivors. These hour-long sessions of dance-based exercise are designed to help manage the side effects of breast cancer treatment while supporting breath, reflexes, equilibrium and self-care. The instructor is Elaine Seckar, MS.

The program will end with a class focusing on stress reduction and relaxation during a meeting of the Celebrating Hope in Cancer Survivors (CHICS) group on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 6:30 p.m. at the Geisinger Holy Spirit Breast Care Center, 880 Century Drive, Mechanicsburg.

Registration is recommended for this free program. Call the Geisinger Holy Spirit Breast Care Center at 717-737-4718 and ask for Shavonne, or register online at ChicsNews.com under the Events tab.
