KINGSTON, Pa. –  Geisinger and government officials have marked the completion of an $8.5 million multi-specialty clinic that expands patient services, adds urgent care and triples the size of the previous clinic.

“Opening a new facility in Kingston has been a goal of our team for many years,” said Dr. Anthony Aquilina, regional president, Geisinger Northeast. “We’re proud to be taking this great step forward in caring for the Kingston community.”

Geisinger Medical Group Kingston, a new, 20,800-square-foot clinic at 560 Pierce St., enhances patient care with a 50-person team supporting these services:

  • family medicine for adult and pediatric patients
  • a Careworks walk-in clinic
  • medication therapy management (MTM)
  • laboratory
  • radiology
  • nutrition
  • case/care management

Geisinger broke ground on the clinic in summer 2017. It boasts 26 exam rooms and two treatment rooms. Staff includes physicians, advanced practitioners, a clinical pharmacist, a licensed clinical social worker, community health assistant and teaching faculty for family medicine residents. Services from another Geisinger clinic at 499 Wyoming Ave. will be relocated to the new facility.

“We’ve been counting down the days to see this space open to our patients,” said Dr. Kim Kovalick, a family medicine physician and medical director of the Kingston clinic. “We were very thoughtful in its design, and we are excited that we can meet more of our patients’ needs in one comfortable, convenient location.”
