Geisinger becomes the first member of Risant Health

TYRONE, Pa. – Mark Armstrong, M.D., a board-certified general surgeon at Geisinger with more than 25 years of surgical experience, will now see patients in the Tyrone and Altoona areas.

Geisinger general surgery specialists provide consultation and surgical expertise for a wide range of ailments. Services provided include: comprehensive breast surgery, carpal tunnel repair, colorectal and small bowel surgery and hernia repair.

Dr. Armstrong earned his medical degree from Temple University. He completed his internship and residency at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Armstrong will see patients in clinics in Port Matilda, Altoona and Philipsburg. He will be performing surgeries at Gray’s Woods Surgery Center in Port Matilda and Tyrone Hospital in Tyrone.
