Geisinger orthopaedic surgeons demonstrate robotic-arm surgery at Railriders stadium Sept. 24
,
MOOSIC, Pa. – Joint replacement surgery steps up to the plate from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 24, when Geisinger orthopaedic surgeons James Murphy, M.D., and Christopher Sobieraj, M.D., Ph.D., demonstrate Mako robotic-arm-assisted procedures at PNC Field, 235 Montage Mountain Road.
Dr. Murphy and Dr. Sobieraj are certified to perform Mako robotic-arm-assisted surgery, which makes hip and knee replacements more precise and less invasive, and patients can experience faster recovery times and shorter post-surgery hospital stays.
Anyone who has been considering hip- or knee-replacement surgery can attend to learn about world-class care available in northeastern Pennsylvania.
The event is free, but online registration is required at Geisinger.org/mako. Call 570-808-1093 to ask questions or request more information.
Geisinger is the area’s only provider of Mako robotic-arm-assisted joint-replacement surgery.
