Geisinger becomes the first member of Risant Health

KINGSTON, Pa. – Jovan Adams, D.O., a family medicine physician, recently joined the Geisinger 65 Forward Health Center team at the Kingston location.

Dr. Adams earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine after completing graduate studies in biomedical sciences at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and undergraduate studies at the Pennsylvania State University. She completed an internship at Long Beach Medical Center in New York and a residency in family medicine at Houston Medical Center in Georgia.

A Pennsylvania native, Dr. Adams returns to the Commonwealth following her time as a physician in Georgia. While there, Dr. Adams’ education and specialization in family medicine served her well in her roles as a primary care physician, faculty member, hospitalist, medical director and residency director.

“I’m excited to be joining Geisinger and joining such a unique program like 65 Forward,” said Dr. Adams. “I value taking the time to get to know my patients and working closely with them to help make health easier for them, and this program is a perfect fit.”

Dr. Adams is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians and is also a member of the American Osteopathic Association and American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.
