LEWISTOWN, Pa. – Geisinger welcomes Victoria Bzik, M.D., Ph.D., who specializes in all medical and surgical aspects of obstetrics and gynecology to the Women’s Health office at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital. Dr. Bzik also provides care for women’s health maintenance and preventive medicine.

Dr. Bzik believes it is important to bring her knowledge and expertise to the Lewistown area, where she grew up. She has clinical expertise in high-risk obstetrics and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. 

During her residency at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, she took care of refugees from around the world and medically underserved local patients. During this time, she continued care and outreach with medically underserved and high-risk populations.

An author of more than seven published articles, Dr. Bzik has a strong commitment to research and obtained her Ph.D. in 2011 from University College Dublin prior to attending medical school. She graduated from University College Dublin with a Doctor of Medicine in 2015. 
 
She is an active member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. 
Dr. Bzik received the Outstanding Surgical Resident of the Year Award upon completing her medical residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences, Amarillo, in 2020. 

In her spare time, she loves to travel and run. She has successfully completed several half and full marathons. She is also interested in landscape photography.
