SCRANTON, Pa. – Filling a prescription and picking up over-the-counter medicines are now more convenient with a Geisinger Pharmacy now open at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton.

Located conveniently in the hospital lobby, the retail pharmacy allows patients to pick up their prescriptions or over-the-counter medications before heading home from an appointment or procedure.

“Patients can save themselves a trip by not having to travel to an off-site pharmacy,” said Joseph Lobrutto, RPh, Geisinger Pharmacy manager at Geisinger Community Medical Center. “Opening this new location means you can leave your appointment with medications in your hand or you can ask a pharmacist about any medications or prescriptions you need, making it easier and more convenient for you.”

Geisinger Pharmacy offers prescription discounts and price-matching on medications found at larger retail stores without any membership fees. An online portal makes transferring or managing medications easy, and home delivery of prescriptions and over-the-counter medications adds convenience.

The pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and can be reached at 570-703-6000. For more information about Geisinger Pharmacy, visit geisinger.org/pharmacy
