Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center to host the Susan G. Komen More Than Pink Walk
,
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center and Susan G. Komen will host the More Than Pink walk on May 8 at the Frank M. and Dorothea Henry Cancer Center.
This year’s walk will be held at the 1.3-mile walking trail at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center with t-shirt pickup starting at 9 a.m. The Pink Pathway of the Komen walk also offers an informal meet-up spot where individuals and teams can walk at their own convenience throughout the day.
The annual event celebrates hope and compassion while raising funds for breast cancer. Funds raised during the walk go toward research to discover more effective treatments and toward vital patient support programs to help connect people with breast cancer screenings, diagnostics, treatment assistance and so much more.
Participants should register through the Komen website before May 8. Anyone looking to support a team or donate on behalf of a loved one can do so through the registration page.
