Services will include primary care, lab, radiology, pharmacy and 65 Forward

DANVILLE, Pa. – Geisinger is making it easier to access care for the whole family in Reedsville and the surrounding area, with Geisinger Medical Clinic Reedsville slated to open on Monday, Aug. 1.

Conveniently located at 10 Gateway Drive off Route 322, the 31,724-square-foot facility will have a total of 34 exam rooms offering primary care, lab and radiology services. Primary care providers David Braum, DO, and Catherine Michaels, PA-C, are transferring from the Lewistown and Big Valley offices, respectively. The clinic’s family doctors and advanced practitioners provide checkups, physicals and screenings, as well as treatment of common illnesses and injuries. Same-day, evening and weekend appointments are available, as are telephone support through a nurse triage line, easy scheduling, routine and preventive care and ongoing care for chronic health conditions.

The lab will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The primary care hours will be:
Monday – Tuesday, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Wednesday, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Thursday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Friday, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.

“We’re continuously thinking of ways to better serve those who live in our communities — and this new multispecialty clinic will allow us to do just that,” said Kirk Thomas, chief administrative officer for Geisinger’s western region. “With primary care, lab, radiology, pharmacy and a Geisinger 65 Forward location all in one place, we’ll be able to care for the entire family.”

An on-site pharmacy and a Geisinger 65 Forward Health Center location will open at Geisinger Medical Clinic Reedsville in the fall. Available to Geisinger Gold (Medicare Advantage) members, 65 Forward offers appointment times of up to 60 minutes and access to wellness, fitness and social activities in a relaxing environment. Those without Geisinger Gold can try it out during a trial period. At 65 Forward, members benefit from their care teams working with them to manage chronic conditions and health concerns through tailored care plans. Each 65 Forward location features access to the most-used health services by Geisinger Gold members, including lab, X-ray, behavioral health, community support and pharmacy home delivery. This can mean fewer trips to the emergency room or the hospital by better managing health within the doctor’s office. The hours of operation will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This location is accepting current and new patients. To contact the Geisinger Primary Care Reedsville office, call 800-230-4565.
