Geisinger welcomes new provider to 65 Forward Health Center in State College

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Susan Holencik, D.O., a family medicine physician, has joined the Geisinger 65 Forward Health Center team in State College. Geisinger 65 Forward is a health care program designed exclusively for people ages 65 and over where patients get longer appointments, more on-site health services and social, educational and wellness activities.
Dr. Holencik is a board-certified physician who specializes in family medicine. After completing her undergraduate studies in biology at Bucknell University, Dr. Holencik earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency through the Latrobe Family Medicine Residency program at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital in Latrobe, Pa.
Dr. Holencik has been practicing at Geisinger since 2013 and has been on the Penn State College of Medicine faculty since 2019. Through her years as a physician in family medicine, she has been delivering primary care services from children to seniors.
“I am very excited for the opportunity to join Geisinger and the Geisinger 65 Forward team serving patients in State College and beyond,” said Dr. Holencik. “It’s important to provide services specific to patients that make up our senior community to help them stay healthy. Dr. Holencik is certified and a member of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) in family medicine, American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP), American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association (POMA).
