SCRANTON – Geisinger Commonwealth is bringing a TEDx event to Scranton Feb. 7 at 5 p.m. and seeks community members with a unique viewpoint to share on the topic Diversity: Thinking Independently Together. TEDx Talks feature engaging speakers who present a fresh idea or a different take on topics of immediate community interest. The event is open to the public.

The deadline to apply is Sunday, Jan. 22, at 11:59 p.m. Speakers will be notified of their selection within a week.
 
All talks must be 15 minutes or less to comply with TEDx guidelines, which include:
 
No commercial agendas
No political agendas or inflammatory rhetoric
No religious agendas
All scientific claims must be supported with credible citations
