Geisinger becomes the first member of Risant Health

SCRANTON, Pa. – An outing at one of northeastern Pennsylvania’s most renowned golf courses will support the region’s future healthcare providers.

The Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine Golf Classic, sponsored by PNC, takes place Monday, June 12, at Glenmaura National Golf Club in Moosic.

Proceeds support scholarships that help recruit medical students with diverse backgrounds and financial means. These funds help train the medical professionals who will care for the region’s aging population.

The format is a foursome scramble. Registration starts at 9 a.m. with a 10 a.m. shotgun start. Awards and prizes will be presented after play concludes. The fun includes door prizes, raffles, mulligans and a putting contest.

The entry fee is $300 per player and includes food and beverages. Players can register or donate to the Student Scholarship Fund at go.geisinger.org/gcsomgolf. Sponsorship opportunities are also available on the event page.
