Geisinger pediatric neurologist named to Modern Healthcare’s 40 Under 40

DANVILLE, Pa. — Anne Marie Morse, DO, director of pediatric neurology at Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital, was recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of the 40 Under 40 for 2024.
 
The nationwide program recognizes the healthcare industry’s rising stars age 40 and under who contribute to a culture of innovation and help their organizations achieve and exceed financial, operational and clinical goals.

Dr. Morse has been the director of pediatric neurology since 2018 and has grown the department from 5 providers to 15, with more than 10,000 outpatient visits per year. She created the Department of Pediatric Sleep Medicine and has helped to deliver transformational care, with more than 50% of visits completed via telemedicine. Dr. Morse believes patients should receive care close to home and established the hospital as a spinal muscular atrophy referral center with the delivery of gene therapy treatments.
