Northeast behavioral health center expands services as part of phased opening
MOOSIC -- Geisinger Behavioral Health Center Northeast, located at 60 Glenmaura Blvd., recently continued the phased opening of the center, expanding its services inpatient adult with co-occurring addictions. The center began treating patients last year.
The phased opening of the facility will continue through this year at the 96-bed facility.
“We are now able to serve more patients with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, psychosis and adults with co-occurring addictions,” said Kelly Ankenbrand, CEO of the facility. “The phased opening of the center remains on schedule, and I am so grateful for the passion and commitment of the entire Moosic staff as we continue to provide hope and healing in this community.”

A second 96-bed hospital, Geisinger Behavioral Health Center Danville, is in development and is expected to open in the summer of 2025.
Both centers will build on Geisinger’s legacy of providing excellent behavioral health care to the community.
