Free public event Oct. 10 at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine

SCRANTON – Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine invites the community to a special event focused on maintaining mental health and well-being during the holiday season. 

Celebrating Self-Care: Prioritizing Mental Health During Festive Times

Times of joy and celebration can be difficult for some. And finding ways to navigate expectations, emotions and traditions can be stressful. This event will focus on how to navigate the challenges of the holiday season and other special occasions with resiliency.

The session will be an interactive dialogue based on audience feedback. Continuing education credits will be available.

Panelists: Brooke Grunza, licensed social worker; Imad Melhem, MD, chair of psychiatry; and Kelly Shaw, PsyD, psychologist.
Moderator: Dawn Zieger, VP of Behavioral Health at Geisinger
