Danville, Pa. – Geisinger Medical Center has converted the former walk-in urology clinic to a Urology Urgent Care Clinic, for patients who need immediate urology care.

The clinic is located at the Mowad Urology Clinic, Foss 1 on the Geisinger Medical Center campus, 100 N. Academy Drive.

The clinic is equipped to evaluate and treat urgent conditions and perform bladder scans and voiding trials. Patients should go to the clinic for:

Urinary tract infections
Blood in urine
Post-operative problems with wounds
Post-operative pain accompanied with fever
Inability to urinate
Inability to pass urine through a catheter
Acute kidney stone symptoms (1 week or less)
Acute testicular pain (1 week or less)

The urgent urology clinic will not take patients for elective surgery evaluations, chronic scrotal or testicular pain, interstitial cystitis or chronic pelvic pain, or regular scheduled office visits. Patients should contact their primary care provider or a urologist for any of these issues.

Patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis. To reduce wait times, appointments can be made by calling 570-271-6328, or reserve a spot online by visiting geisinger.org/patient-care. The clinic is open Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This is a service of Geisinger Urology and is billed as a specialty visit. Some insurance companies require a referral for a specialty appointment. Check with your insurance provider.
