Geisinger College to host events in June and July

SCRANTON – Geisinger College of Health Sciences will host two free seminars this summer to help people understand estate planning and long-term care preparation. The events will feature experts from Colbert & Grebas, P.C., one of Pennsylvania’s leading elder law firms.

Estate Planning for All Ages – Get Your Estate Plan in Order
Wednesday, June 18, 5 p.m.

Long-Term Care Planning – Why Is It Important
Wednesday, July 16, 5 p.m.

Both sessions will be held at Geisinger College of Health Sciences, 525 Pine St., Scranton.

Registration is required. Sign up at go.geisinger.edu/estate.

Brenda Colbert and Kevin Grebas, certified Elder Law Attorneys, will provide attendees with practical, step-by-step guidance on how to protect their families, finances and futures through thoughtful legal planning.

June 18: Estate Planning for All Ages
This session will focus on the foundational aspects of estate planning, including planning for incapacity and death. Participants will learn which legal documents are essential and how to build a plan that meets their needs.

July 16: Long-Term Care Planning
This session will address financial planning, Medicaid eligibility, estate recovery and common myths around paying for care. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of how to safeguard their assets and make informed decisions before—or during—a care need.

“These seminars are designed to provide clear, practical guidance on topics that are often misunderstood or overlooked,” said Colbert. “We want to empower people to make informed decisions for themselves and their loved ones.”
