Geisinger to host EMT apprenticeship job fair on June 23
An investment in local EMS services, this program offers the opportunity to earn and learn while working toward full-time employment
DANVILLE, Pa. – As part of Geisinger’s commitment to investing in local emergency medical services, the health system is hosting an emergency medical technician (EMT) apprenticeship job fair on Monday, June 23, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital, located at 4200 Hospital Road in Coal Township.
The EMT apprenticeship is a full-time, 13-week paid program at Geisinger’s Danville and Wilkes-Barre locations. Cohort 7 of the program will start on Monday, Aug. 25.
After completion of the program and EMT certification, participants will become full-time EMTs at Geisinger locations in the Shamokin, Danville and Berwick areas.
Prospective candidates must:
• Be at least 18 years old
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Have a valid driver’s license
• Have a desire to help people and learn

The event will take place at the hospital’s administration building, across the street from the hospital’s main entrance.
