The Center for Learning Excellence provides academic support services.

Accessibility services

Geisinger College of Health Sciences is in full compliance with the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Center for Learning Excellence staff coordinate reasonable accommodations for eligible students with documented disabilities.

Academic support

Individual support and advising

Students can receive individual support in time management, study skills, organization, study-guide construction, memory techniques, resource use and test taking strategies.


Small group and individual tutoring sessions are offered at no cost to students. Students are tutored where they enroll for their general education requirements and through nursing faculty when on their clinical rotations. 


Center for Learning Excellence staff provide workshops to help students with academic organization and study strategies.

Professional preparation and skill development

Support for the NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination) for students enrolled in the School of Nursing associate degree program is coordinated through ATI Testing for Nursing Education.
