Most 11-year-olds dream of a helicopter ride. Not Wade Barren, now 41, of Watsontown.   “I remember that day like it was yesterday,” he explains of being diagnosed with a serious brain tumor 30 years ago which threatened to end his life within hours. With no time to spare, Life-Flight rushed the frightened youngster to the awaiting surgical team. “The chaplain came in before surgery and administered my last rights. I was scared.” During his recovery, Wade says the entire staff made a tremendous impression on him.  Dr. Joseph Scott Martin, who has since retired, would visit him daily. “My heroes growing up were doctors.” Just this month, Wade, at left, and Dr. Martin were reunited after meeting more than three decades ago in the OR.  “I will always be grateful to Dr. Martin and Geisinger for saving my life.” #GeisingerStories
