Recipe: Summer main dish salad
This salad, featuring grilled sirloin steak, loads of vegetables and a garlicky vinaigrette, is hearty enough to feed your hungriest guest this summer.

Ingredients
- 1 cup frozen corn kernels
- 4 teaspoons canola oil
- 3 cloves garlic (sliced)
- ¼ cup red wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon honey
- 12 ounces grilled sirloin
- 1 cup cooked cubed potatoes
- 1 cup sliced green onions
- ½ cup sliced carrots
- 1 cup each diced red and green bell pepper
- 4 cups salad greens
Directions
- Cook corn according to package directions.
- In a small saucepan, heat oil, add garlic and cook until brown.
- Remove from heat and cool. Strain and reserve oil. Discard garlic.
- In a large bowl, combine reserved oil, vinegar, mustard, pepper and honey.
- Combine oil mixture with corn, sirloin, potatoes, green onions, carrots and peppers. Mix well, cover and chill.
- Serve in a bowl lined with salad greens.
