David J. Weader is the associate chief legal officer and regulatory affairs officer for Geisinger Health Plans. Weader is responsible for providing executive leadership of GHP’s legal and regulatory functions, federal and state health programs operations, and health policy activities.

Weader started his career at a national health law firm, Epstein Becker & Green, PC, providing regulatory and transactional counsel to health care providers and managed care companies; and with McNees, Wallace & Nurick, LLC, a leading Pennsylvania-based law firm. After leaving private practice, Weader worked as Associate General Counsel for the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Prior to joining Geisinger, Weader was a plan attorney for Coventry Health Care, a national managed care company.
