If you need help paying for your health insurance plan, there are financial options available to help you afford coverage.
Affordable Care Act subsidies
Individuals or families with an income under 400 percent of the federal poverty level (FPL), and are not otherwise eligible for Medicaid, are eligible for financial help (also known as subsidies) through the Affordable Care Act. Learn more about healthcare reform.
Keep in mind eligibility requirements for financial help differ by state, so it’s a good idea to check HealthCare.gov to confirm your eligibility.
Other financial assistance
Pennsylvania’s Medical Assistance program has expanded, which means more financial assistance is available to more people. Eligibility is based on your 2016 household income and family size.
