The preceptors are long-standing members of the Geisinger staff, are frequently recognized in the field of nutrition and dietetics, and are committed to their specialty areas.
Members of the staff have received a variety of recognized honors in the field of dietetics including Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year Award, Healthcare Foodservice Management (HFM) Future Horizon Award, authoring chapters for noted nutrition and dietetic textbooks and articles for professional practice group newsletters, and speaking at community and professional conferences. All preceptors belong to professional organizations based on areas of practice.
Many staff members also hold Master's degrees. The staff also includes those achieving a variety of additional credentials including Certified Diabetes Educators (CDE), Certified Nutrition Support Clinicians (CNSC), Certified Specialists in Pediatric Nutrition (CSP), a Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition (CSR), Certified Dietary Managers (CDM), and a Certified Food Protection Professional (CFPP).
