Trauma education
Prompt recognition of life-threatening injury and appropriate early management can significantly improve outcomes following trauma. At Geisinger, our trauma-related activities — education, advocacy, professional development, standards of care, and assessment of outcomes — are designed to improve the care of injured patients before, during and after hospitalization. The following courses provide a structure in which the participant will learn to identify injuries associated with major trauma as well as the management skills required for timely management of traumatic injury.
