Northeast Pennsylvania Neuromuscular Summit

This educational event is focused on the patients and families we serve who are managing neuromuscular diseases. It is designed to discuss the challenges faced by patients and their caregivers and to provide helpful information about new treatment options and therapies for treating neuromuscular disease and improving quality of life.

What you will learn:

  • Understand what type of patients are eligible to consider the use of new therapeutic drugs for treatment
  • Discuss new therapeutic drugs, what to expect regarding their outcomes and their potential side effects
  • Explain historical therapeutic drug studies and what we’ve learned from them to better help our patients
  • Review how incorporating healthy nutrients into patients’ diets can help to improve patient outcomes for muscle disease
  • Discuss the need to delve deeper into interdisciplinary/integrative care, including neuropsychiatry therapy and respiratory treatment and the impact on muscle disease
