Need to bring a dish to the Superbowl party but want to keep your new year’s resolutions? This recipe is for you.

These wings are cooked in an air fryer for maximum crispness, with none of the added fat from frying. Greek yogurt dip packs a flavorful, creamy punch. Instead of falling for fad diets and weight loss programs that claim to be a quick fix, try focusing on creating healthy lifestyle changes instead.

Be cautious that any diet that eliminates entire food groups could leave you missing out on essential nutrients. Instead, try incorporating more nutrient-dense foods into your everyday life.

Nutrient-dense foods and recipes are typically packed with vitamins, minerals, complex carbohydrates, healthy fats, lean proteins and are relatively low in calories.

Makes: 6 servings

Ingredients: Chicken wings

2 lbs. chicken wings
1 tbsp. paprika
1 tbsp. garlic powder
¼ tsp. salt (optional)

Ingredients: Sauce

1 cup plain Greek yogurt
2 tbsp. white or apple cider vinegar
2-3 tbsp. hot sauce (ex. Frank’s Red Hot)
1 tbsp. olive oil
½ tsp. garlic powder
½ tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. dried dill
1 tsp. dried parsley

Directions:

For wings:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the paprika and garlic powder for the wings. Add optional salt.
  2. Thoroughly pat the wings dry, then add to the bowl and toss until coated with seasoning mix.
  3. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray, then spread wings in a single layer, spacing evenly.
  4. Air fry at 400 degrees F for 22 minutes, flipping halfway through. Wings should be crisp and golden brown on the outside.

For sauce:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix until thoroughly combined. If possible, let sit in the refrigerator overnight or at least a few hours before serving to let flavors develop.

Don’t have an air fryer? No worries — you can still cook wings in a conventional oven. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F and bake for 45-60 mins on a parchment-lined baking sheet, flipping halfway through.
