Geisinger becomes the first member of Risant Health

“It’s my perfect escape, the best stress reliever,” said Leah Fogelsanger, a junior at Bloomsburg High School whose passion for field hockey began as far back as kindergarten.

Leah also runs track,  is a national honor society scholar and next year, after high school, she’ll attend - on full scholarship - Bucknell University, a top 30, Division 1 program.

Helping her achieve her goal of becoming a Bison were her parents and family, her commitment to hard work and the competitive edge she helped perfect by attending Geisinger’s Sports Medicine Speed and Agility Academy. There she focused on her running form and specific movements to refine her abilities.

Leah’s athletic trainer and organizer of the Geisinger Academy calls Leah a motivated competitor who is always looking for the edge she needs to continue improving. “It’s been great to see Leah utilize her experience from our camp to her advantage on the field,” said Gina Marotta.

For anyone looking to take their game to the next level, Geisinger’s Speed and Agility Academy will take place June 13 at Bloomsburg University.  Visit Geisinger.org/events for more details or call 570-214-7125.  #GeisingerStories
