Giving back to the hospital that gave hope back to her

Angels of Thunder president Roxanne Franklin, second from left, fulfilled a long-time dream to give back to those who helped her when she needed it most. While being treated for cancer, she lost her job, her health insurance and her hope of recovery. That’s when Dr. Soto Hamlin stepped in.  On the ninth anniversary of her diagnosis, she and members of her all-female motorcycle club rode to the hospital with a check for $2,175. Tucked in Roxanne’s pocket was the nine-year-old letter saying her mammograms would be covered for free.
