Geisinger's MyCode program gives Anthony hope for a cure.

"I think genetics are going to change the world"

Anthony Talarico, Jr., is a role model for his children and a symbol of hope in his community. The Tunkhannock resident suffered a severe heart attack when he was 35 years old and had a heart transplant less than 10 years later. He wasn't surprised to hear from the Geisinger MyCode team that his genes placed him at an increased risk for heart disease. Instead, he felt a sense of relief for the future. Anthony is hopeful that his children and grandchildren will live in a world where this kind of disease can be prevented.
