Family medicine sub-internship (Northeast)

Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine’s family medicine sub-internship at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre focuses on inpatient medicine. 

You’ll be an active member of the family medicine inpatient team, which sees a robust service of patients, including an emphasis on continuity patients from the Family Medicine Residency Outpatient Clinic. The team consists of students, one PGY1 resident, one PGY2 resident, one PGY3 resident and an attending. There will also be collaboration with pharmacists. You’ll be able go to the outpatient continuity clinic at least one half-day per week with a resident physician from service. If you’re interested in additional outpatient time, discuss your desire with program leadership at the start of your rotation.
