Interviewing

After a review of the application materials, students are notified if they have been offered an interview for the MD program. All candidates will interview virtually utilizing the Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) format.

The admissions interview is a critical piece of the application process. It provides the admissions committee with deeper insight into who you are as a candidate, and it also provides the candidate with a more in-depth look at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine’s innovative curriculum, the Geisinger Commonwealth community and its surrounding region.

After the admissions committee’s review, selected applicants will receive an email invitation to interview at Geisinger Commonwealth. The committee will consider candidates’ academic potential for success, as well as their alignment with Geisinger Commonwealth’s mission and values.

All completed applications will be considered. Due to the competitive nature of the medical school admissions process, it is in students’ best interest to complete the application, in its entirety, as early as possible.

We usually can’t change interview dates. But if you have an extenuating circumstance, contact Kristen Greene, MS, director of admissions and enrollment management, MD program.
