Husband, wife patients undergo rare paired exchange kidney transplant at GMC

Because of diabetes and high blood pressure, Kevin Vanwhy was in renal failure that required months of home dialysis six nights a week. His wife, Karen, wanted to give him one of her kidneys, but she wasn't the right blood type for a match.
