What services are covered under enrollment?

All services authorized by the LIFE Geisinger interdisciplinary team will be covered at no cost to you. 

Are there copays or deductibles?

No, there aren’t any copays or deductibles for authorized services received during your enrollment in LIFE Geisinger. This includes no out-of-pocket expenses for:

  • Medical care
  • Durable medical equipment
  • Transportation related to medical care and LIFE center attendance
  • Prescription and over-the-counter medications
  • Eyeglasses
  • Hearing aids
  • Dental care and dentures
  • Physical, occupational or speech therapy sessions
How does LIFE Geisinger help caregivers?

Our interdisciplinary team provides caregivers with the tools, resources and services they need to thrive. Through personalized interventions, we aim to reduce stress, improve confidence and enhance the caregiving experience.

Examples of our support include:

  • Caregiver education and skill-building
  • Emotional support
  • Transportation coordination and scheduling assistance
  • Home safety evaluations and recommendations
  • Access to community resources and respite care options
 
What's the main advantage of enrolling in LIFE Geisinger?
With LIFE Geisinger’s support, you can keep living independently at home while receiving the services you need. All authorized services are available to you at no cost.
What if I am sick or injured after hours?
  • In an emergency, call 911. Emergency services are covered. No prior authorization is needed. 
  • On-call services are available in the evenings, overnights and weekends to discuss your concerns or answer your questions.
 
How often do I visit the LIFE Geisinger center?

Some participants come every weekday, some come 2 to 3 times a week and some only come once every 4 to 6 weeks.

Services are based on your needs and preferences.

Can I disenroll from LIFE?
Yes, participants may initiate disenrollment from our services at any time. A disenrollment is effective on the first day of the month following the date the participant’s notice of voluntary disenrollment is received.

Need help after hours?

In an emergency, call 911. Emergency services are covered. Prior authorization is not required.

On-call services: You can call us 24/7, 365 days a year. Reach an on-call provider even when our centers are closed.
