What is virtual urgent care?

When you have a minor medical concern, get healthcare right from the comfort of home through virtual urgent care. Like our ConvenientCare walk-in clinics, virtual urgent care is there when you can’t get an appointment with your doctor.

Virtual urgent care offers:

  • Convenient connection – All you need is a smartphone, tablet or computer with a webcam and a high-speed internet connection.
  • Accessible appointments – We have evening and weekend appointments that fit into your busy schedule, 7 days a week.
  • Family-friendly care – Virtual urgent care is available for patients 2 years old and up.

How to get a virtual urgent care appointment

Virtual urgent care is for patients over age 2 who need care for a non-emergency medical concern today. You can schedule a telehealth visit with the next available Geisinger provider at a time that works for you.

Here’s how:

  1. Click “Sign in" or "Continue as guest" to begin your virtual urgent care visit
  2. Someone will be with you shortly to complete the check-in process, much like an in-person appointment at your doctor’s office, and connect you with a provider — either immediately or at a time that works best for you.
  3. Talk with your provider to get treatment, so you can feel better soon.

Virtual urgent care should not be used in an emergency. If you have chest pain, difficulty breathing, significant bleeding or any signs of a life-or-limb-threatening condition, head to the emergency room or call 911.
