Events and programs

Our priority is to protect the health of our communities. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, some events and programs are being held virtually, while others have been canceled or postponed.

Keeping our communities healthy and safe

Our community outreach teams work together to improve the quality and availability of educational, community-based programs that are designed to prevent disease and injury, improve overall health and quality of life for everyone in the areas we serve. 
 
Community-based programs aim to reach people outside of the healthcare setting, including in schools, at the workplace and more. Learn more about the programs we offer:

REACH-HEI

Regional Education Academy for Careers in Health – Higher Education Initiative (REACH-HEI) is an out-of-school program that provides academic enrichment opportunities, including mentoring by medical and graduate students, for low-income and/or first-generation-to-college students in northeast and central Pennsylvania.

Injury prevention programs 

As a healthcare organization providing emergency care 24/7, our goal is to educate our community members on how they can stay safe through a wide array of injury prevention programs, including:

Silver Circle 

A free membership program designed specifically for men and women ages 55+ to promote physical, emotional and social well-being, Silver Circle provides access to special events, a free monthly magazine filled with recipes and health tips, and much more!
