Giving through an obituary

You can include information in an obituary for friends and relatives to make a memorial gift to Geisinger in lieu of flowers. Sample wording might include:  

“In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to Geisinger’s cancer care program (or women’s health, heart care, pediatric care or any other area where you’d like to direct the memorial gifts), Geisinger Health Foundation, MC 40-36, 100 N. Academy Ave., Danville, PA 17822, or online at donations.geisinger.org.”

I give to support Geisinger’s mission to care for our community, friends, family and neighbors. This mission became even more personal recently when Geisinger saved the life of my good friend and coworker. If Geisinger were not operating a hospital in a small town like Shamokin, my friend would not be alive.
