FAQs

What’s radiology?

Radiology is a branch of medicine that uses imaging technology, like X-rays, MRI, CT scans and ultrasound, to help doctors see inside your body. Radiologists interpret the images and share results with your care team to guide diagnosis and treatment.

What types of radiology services do you offer?

Our radiology services include X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, mammography, PET/CT, vascular and interventional radiology, nuclear imaging and bone density scans. Doctors use some of these tests, like mammography, as a preventive screening tool to check for early signs of disease.

What’s interventional radiology?

Interventional radiology is a branch of radiology that lets doctors perform minimally invasive procedures guided by real-time imaging. Instead of traditional surgery, doctors use imaging to navigate instruments through the body with greater precision.

Are radiology tests painful?

Most types of radiology tests are noninvasive and painless. Many take place in an outpatient setting, so you can go home the same day. Your doctor will let you know what to expect before your test.
